No-one denies that we live in a world where looks seem to take priority over any other human quality, and while some get it by nature, some strive hard to get it instantly.

Restlessness is not a positive trait and having the ideal body without the normal pain that goes with this means that it is not always valued.

Perhaps rapid weight loss is what these individuals are looking for, the longevity and effectiveness of which is highly overrated.

There is still much discussion about the usefulness of these fast weight loss schemes according to available studies.

Individuals agree that these fast weight reduction programs can never be completely relied upon, as the individual starts to gain weight soon after cessation of the program.

The research shows that individuals that are on these special low calorie / carbohydrate diets become tired with them which is quite natural and end up going back to their old eating traits quite quickly.

Research is also revealing that what is getting lost is the water content of the body and not the body fat.

When the body is deprived of water, it can result in fundamental harm to the body, but then, it can be replenished fast also, hence there was never any weight reduction to begin with.

Despite these claims it is not very likely that an individual a diet such as this will lose more than two pounds of body fat per week but there is a very real threat from problems associated with losing large quantities of water from the body.

One of the latest fads introduced to the weight loss market is the swift weight reduction soap, comprising herbs and seaweed, which evidently reduces the body fat while the user is scrubbing it against the body.

Of course, it can do wonders to the skin with the help of the elements, but there has been no research done, to show that it can actually consume body fat, on merely scrubbing.

Often it feels as if there is a fresh fast weight reduction product each week and just to add to the list is a product that promises to speed up a person’s metabolism and suppress the hunger desire all at the same time.

Makers also go on to claim that wearing magnetic jewelry also heightens body’s individual healing capacity but then everything sounds rather cosmetic, like a fashion accessory.

According to the advertising information, wearing the magnets improves the magnetic balance of the wearer and they can anticipate to benefit from all the effects mentioned previously.

Yet, till date there has been no proof of these tall claims ever submitted to any medical journal other than a few competitive press releases.

The truth is where you find swift weight loss you will also find rapid weight gain, there is never any gain without the pain to go with it so just recall the old adage that if it sounds also good to be true, it possibly is.

Motivate To Lose Weight

by Dr. George Best

Motivation for weight loss is often easy to generate at the start of a weight loss program. Most people are actually excited to get started because they anticipate the results of their chosen weight loss plan, but don’t count on the effort required to obtain those results. The excitement and motivation fade quickly and the majority of people on weight loss plans start to cheat in just a few days and quit their diet and exercise programs altogether in just a few weeks.

Even the best weight loss program is going to fail miserably if you don’t follow it and you give up on it before it has a chance to provide you with any tangible results. What seems like sufficient motivation when you begin your weight loss efforts is probably not going to be sufficient to keep you going until you reach your weight loss goal. It is critical to “motivate to lose weight” on an ongoing basis to keep yourself on track. You must make conscious efforts to keep your motivation high, just as much as you must consistently follow your diet and exercise regimen.

Just wanting to drop some pounds is simply not enough to get highly motivated and stay that way. To lose weight, you will have to put forth a significant amount of effort, regardless of what the marketing hype about how easy a weight loss program is might lead you to believe. To stay on track and make the necessary changes in your eating and exercise habits, you need strong, emotional motivating factors. You need to experience strong emotions to stay adequately motivated and you need to be able to access those strong emotions on a moment’s notice to keep you from giving in to moments of weakness that make you want to cheat.

Emotional leverage is the necessary ingredient for highly effective motivation to lose weight. In most cases, emotional leverage is most powerful when it comes from the desire to avoid negative feelings. Because of this, it is necessary to get in touch with whatever negative feelings you may have that are producing your desire to lose weight. Many people do everything they can to avoid experiencing intense negative feelings, but to be able to accomplish the goals of weight loss, experiencing negative emotion in an intense way is necessary to getting strongly motivated to keep you on track with your diet and exercise regimen and meet your weight loss goals.

As a word of caution here, if you are not willing or able to handle dealing with strong negative emotions right now, you should stop reading this article at this point and forget about trying to lose weight for the time being.

You have to take a hard look at your reasons for losing weight and really get into the emotions behind those reasons. For example, if you feel unattractive because of the excess weight, really get into that feeling. What are the consequences of feeling unattractive. Maybe your romantic relationships suffer. Maybe you start to avoid being around the people you love because you think they’ll see you as fat and disgusting. Really get into it and feel the pain – that’s the thing that’s going to keep you on track so you can finally lose the weight!

Diabetes Warning Signs

by Jake Ryan

The most common warning sign of diabetes is frequent urination. The kidneys become loaded with glucose due to the cells inability to use it and they try to flush it out by drawing fluids from the body. This leads to the second sign of diabetes.

Many feel a constant thirst even after they have drank a lot of liquids. This is because the kidneys have to work extra to get rid of the excess glucose causing you to feel thirsty.

Obesity and diabetes are directly linked. If you have type 1 diabetes the pancreas stops making insulin. This then leads to the cells starving for energy and then the fat stored is used and lean muscle will be lost causing weight loss.

Another sign is feeling overly tired because the cells cannot get the glucose from the blood.

You can also experience numbness and tingling in the fingers and toes. This is from high levels of glucose in the blood stream heading to the nervous system.

Blood circulation allows oxygen to reach an injury and take care of bacteria. If you are having problems healing this is another symptom of diabetes.

There are also signs of diabetes if you have blurry vision, itchy skin, or extra dry skin.
