Slim Seduction – Libido Booster and Weight Loss in One Pill
Slim Seduction — What You Need To Know
If you’re a woman and have been dieting for some time, it’s likely you’ve come across ads on the radio for Slim Seduction, the diet pill that “also” boosts libido. When Global Nutritional Sciences, which has been in business since 1999, first came out with Slim Seduction, the product was only meant to boost libido and nothing else. The manufacturer modified the product’s name when it received reports of weight loss from surprised users. Today, the diet pill also claims to liberate cellulite.
How It Works
Users are asked to take three pills twice a day, most preferably thirty minutes prior to a meal or workout. Global Nutritional Sciences claims that the unique combination of Slim Seduction’s ingredients alter the body’s mechanisms to encourage weight loss.
The Ingredient List
One of the primary ingredients in the pill is citrus aurantium, better known as bitter orange. Bitter orange is a stimulant that has many properties similar to ephedrine, the banned dietary supplement. Their similar properties are also likely to result in similar health risks. Bitter orange is associated with hypertension, arrhythmias and strokes. It can also affect how you metabolize prescription and over-the-counter drugs. Though bitter orange is legal to use, it has not been proven effective at weight loss or appetite suppression.
But the pill does have certain ingredients that have a better track record than bitter orange, such as green tea extract. Green tea is known for its antioxidant content, its caffeine content, and its tendency to boost the metabolism. These properties help the body burn fat, suppress the appetite, and increase energy levels. Sufficient intake of green tea may help you feel more full with less food, which equates to a drop in your daily intake of calories — very helpful for weight loss.
South African herbs yerba mate and guarana are two other ingredients in the long list of ingredients making up the Slim Seduction formula. Both yerba mate and guarana have caffeine and act as stimulants. Guarana has been studied for appetite suppression but the jury is still out on whether the herb lives up to this claim. Yerba mate however, has a history of being used to suppress appetite and is commonly used in weight loss formulas for this reason. However, Slim Seductions claim that yerba mate and guarana can liberate stored body fat is completely unfounded.
Despite these audacious claims, yerba mate and green tea are still widely-accepted ingredients in the dieting industry, and really do have pretty good track records in weight loss. Other ingredients may also pitch in, such as calcium (for burning fat) and Dandelion extract (to remove excess water from the body). The problem is that none of the above-mentioned ingredients have any proven effect on sex drive.
What Users Say
So far, there have been mixed reactions to Slim Seduction’s efficacy. Many people have reported certain measures of weight loss after use, but others insist that the weight loss mostly came from changes in diet and increases in exercise. Others claim that the product simply helped them resist between-meal snacking. Another problem is customer service — there have been stories of users being charged for trials that were meant to be free, and others have had difficulty canceling the orders they’ve placed.
