1. Fat is in your circulatory system: Because fat within the circulatory system is not visible, many people forget about it. The problem here is that fat in your circulatory system is the most lethal. You see, this type of fat can make your heart shut down.

2. Fat is stored around your organs: Severely obese people can have fatty livers. And these livers tend to be very large in comparison to a normal liver. The end result is the displacement of organs that are in close proximity to the fatty liver.

3. Fat under your skin is the lesser of the evils: Having said that, you still want to get rid of it at some point. You see, excess skin fat will make it harder for you to absorb nutrients from your food and will also make your joints wear out quickly.

4. Eat fat from each group: Don\’t just eat walnuts all day. Your body works best with a wide variety of fats in your diet. In fact, you should strive for dietary fat balance just as you would strive for balance between fats, vegetables, protein and carbs.

5. Don\’t have too many fish oil pills: Fish oil is very healthy for you. However, when consumed in excess fish oil can become very damaging to your body. Not only can you increase bleeding times, but you can also oxidize your heart.

6. Have fat with every meal: For the slowest digestion rates, highest rates of satiety and the highest levels of hormone production, you need to have fat in every meal. Never go on a low fat diet because this approach will backfire on you.

Have been hearing all about something called P90X and are wondering what exactly it is and why it is so popular? This program, which is known also as the Power 90 Extreme, is a home exercise (more aptly a home boot camp) program that is guaranteed to get results. It comes from a proven history and background of knowledgeable and successful physical trainers. It uses a new concept called muscle confusion in order to get results quickly and efficiently. The workout program targets many different regions of muscles in the body. It is made to be easy to follow along with, although the workouts themselves are not known to be easy. There is a nutrition plan that goes along with the exercise program as well, plus you will need some equipment at home, too.

The Power 90 Extreme program is developed by Tony Horton and the Beachbody company. Tony has been developing exercise programs with Beachbody for years, one of the earliest being a program called Great Body Guaranteed. After Great Body Guaranteed, he made the Power 90 program. Since the Power 90 did well, and since people were demanding a higher level of fitness program, he made the Power 90 Extreme in 2004. With a lot of infomercial advertising and positive word of mouth, the extreme version became quite popular.

Power 90X is a ninety day workout regime (hence the \”90\” you see in the title). These intense ninety days include six days of working out per week, with a daily workout lasting about a little less than one hour.

During this time, you will see impressive results due to the concept of muscle confusion. Muscle confusion makes it so that you change the areas and muscle groups that are targeted constantly, meaning your body does not plateau and muscles can constantly grow and develop.

This program comes with twelve exercise DVDs. Each disc is different, and focuses on a different kind of workout. Each workout will have a specific focus on a type of training (strength, cardio, or stretch), and on a specific concept or area (yoga, plyometrics, legs and back, shoulders and arms, back and biceps, chest, shoulders and triceps, etc.).

Like any good program, Power 90 Extreme is not only exercise but also has a nutrition aspect to it as well. The nutrition portion is broken into three phases that are made to go along with the exercise schedule. It starts with higher protein and less carbohydrates, and eventually increases the amount of carbohydrates until you reach a very high carbohydrate, athlete sort of diet.

The equipment that you will need for this workout program is pretty basic. You should have either dumbbells or resistance bands, a sturdy chair and a pull up bar (for strength exercises).
