What is the Best Diet for Upper Body Muscle Building?
Some folks get a little confused when they set out lifting for upper body muscle building regarding their diet strategy. The most common school of thought is that protein and carbohydrates are the best diet methods for muscle building. While this is certainly true is most cases, there are some key other ingredients missing from that equation.
Most notably missing is potassium. Your muscles, especially new muscles, need the extra nourishment and treatment that potassium can give in order to maintain and grow over time. What is even more dangerous, is that if you eat too many carbohydrates and your muscles is not active enough to burn that energy, your body will synthesize that nutrition into fatty sugars, and deposit them in your body.
With potassium in play, though, chances are better that your body will be able to build and sustain the muscle needed to burn off that wonderful fuel that you eat. Just make sure you are consulting with your trainer or nutritionist before you go off eating six bananas and three steaks every day.
There are some great resources you can use that will get you on the right track to upper body muscle building. My personal favorite can be fount at www.TheTruthAboutMuscle.com.
